A few days ago, the U.S. space shuttle, Discovery, launched from Cape Canaveral carrying a portion of the Japanese-built science laboratory. The science station will be attached to the International Space Station that is currently in orbit around the earth. The cooperation shown by Japan, the United States and other countries proves that we are able to successfully work together in important international projects to benefit all people of the world.

I think the shuttle is a very interesting thing. And that is cool that they got to launch it.

Hey Mr. Lahr,
This is a really interesting topic. I think it is very cool that they are sending a lab up to space. I think it will help the fact on searching for things and studying it.
Sincerely,

Hello Senior Lahr, This is J-Man I just read the article about the Rocket. My opinion on this is that it is good to see avery one work together despite thier differneces. It shows that if we all work together we can acomplish anything. That is the secret and the love of scienace and the world's manifest destinay to expand to the far reachs of space. Senior Lahr, I have a qusetion for you, can you tell the difference between a shuttle and a rocket? :)

Did you know that one of the things the Shuttle carried was a toilet pump? Apparently the toilet pump at the international space station failed about a week ago, so the Discovery had to bring them a new pump.
Hey Mr. Lahr,
Cool topic. I think it's cool how countries were able to work together to launch a shuttle up. It shows how we could all unify to discover more about space.

Hello Mr. Lahr,
Astronomy always intested me and will always do. It is something that is exciting and unique to me. I want to go in space one day, using my own rocket. Discovery was a pretty good success, but it will only be a true success when it accomplishes all its tasks. Hope it works like it supposes to. Anyway, I hope those scientists in NASA are planning some awesome space shuttles that are going to make history by sending the first man...or woman in Mars. Hope to live to see that day...

Hey Mr. Lahr,
I think that it is very cool that Japan and United States can work together to send a lab into space. They are showing the world how to use collaboration. Now, hopefully scientists will be able to uncover some unknown facts about the plants or even solar system.
Sincerely,
Sierra W.
